Made for the way you work
Semantic code search
Find the right code even when you do not know the name. Ask about behavior, then follow the links through the project.
In practice
A useful place to start
Ask where a login expires or how a report is built. Search finds code with that meaning, and call tracing helps the agent follow what uses it.
Search by meaning
Semantic search goes beyond exact words. The agent can look for behavior and concepts, while keeping exact text search for known names, paths, and error messages. It is powered by grepai.
Follow the call path
Caller, callee, and graph tools help connect a found function to the work around it. That gives the agent a better starting point for a change than reading isolated matches.
Keep search under control
Background indexing keeps results fresh. Settings provides exclusions, index state, logs, and repair controls. Use local embeddings or explicitly choose supported cloud embeddings.
Get started
Open Settings, then Semantic search. Set up the embedder and index for your workspace, wait for the first index, then ask about a behavior in the code.
Good to know
An index takes time and disk space, and excluded or unindexed files may not appear. Cloud embeddings send indexed text to that provider; local embeddings keep that stage on your machine.
